Jason (Joshua Close)
è uno studente di cinema del PIT, università di Pittsburgh che assieme ai suoi amici Tony (Shawn Roberts), Tracy
(Amy Ciupak Lalonde), Eliot (Joe Dinicol), Ridley 

(Philip Riccio), Gordo (Chris Violette), Paduma (Tatiana
Maslany) e al suo insegnante alcolizzato, Maxwell (Scott Wentworth), vuole realizzare un film horror indipendente da
presentare alla 

mostra scolastica.
Mentre girano una scena in un bosco, in un momento di pausa dopo un
ciak, accendono la radio e ascoltano attoniti notizie che parlano di scontri sanguinosi in tutto il Paese, atti di 

violenza improvvisi e disordini scoppiati senza un'apparente causa.
Due dei ragazzi, Ridley e la sua
fidanzata Francine, decidono di tornare a casa di lui, mentre Jason, il cameraman, convince il resto del gruppo a
tornare al dormitorio per cercare Debra 

(Michelle Morgan), la sua ragazza, e decide di continuare a
riprendere ogni cosa per poter girare un documentario indipendente che racconti la verità così come è accaduta,
visto che 

nessuno, né in televisione né sulla rete, sembra capire bene quello che sta
succedendo................


Storyline:

While filming a horror movie of mummy in a forest, the
students and their professor of the University of Pittsburgh hear on the TV the news that the dead are awaking and
walking. Ridley and 

Francine decide to leave the group, while Jason heads to the dormitory of his girlfriend
Debra Monahan. She does not succeed in contacting her family and they travel in Mary's van to the 

house of
Debra's parents in Scranton, Pennsylvania. While driving her van, Mary sees a car accident and runs over a highway
patrolman and three other zombies trying to escape from them. 

Later the religious Mary is depressed,
questioning whether the victims where really dead, and tries to commit suicide, shooting herself with a pistol. Her
friends take her to a hospital 

where they realize that the dead are indeed awaking and walking and they need
to fight to survive while traveling to Debra's parents house. .....
